You can swap crypto on a phone in three ways: a wallet app with swaps built in (Uniswap Wallet, Jupiter Mobile or 1inch Wallet), a swap site in your phone's browser, or a Telegram bot. A self-custody wallet app lets you authorise swaps from your wallet; some apps also support hardware wallets. A deposit-address site or bot, such as SwapBee's web app or @swapbeebot, needs no wallet connection: you paste a receiving address and send coins to a deposit address. Whichever you use, open it from an official link and check every address.
SwapBee publishes this guide; 1inch and ChangeNOW are among SwapBee's providers. Sources were checked on 9 October 2026.

A self-custody wallet app lets you authorise swaps from your wallet. Here is how each app's own page describes it.
The trade-off, as Ledger (which sells hardware wallets) puts it, is that software wallets run on "general-purpose devices that are perpetually connected to the internet" (Ledger Academy).
Yes. A swap site needs no install. There are two kinds:
On a small screen, addresses are the weak point. Trezor warns that clipboard malware "can swap an address after you copy it" (Trezor). SwapBee's swap form adds three reminders: transactions cannot be reversed, there must be no extra spaces at either end of the address, and the address must match the network of the coin you receive.
Telegram's FAQ says bots "are made by outside developers", and that Telegram has "some official bots for specific purposes" but doesn't usually make them. Its advice: "any bot should be treated as a stranger — don't give them your passwords, Telegram codes or bank account numbers, even if they ask nicely", and be careful with files a bot sends (Telegram FAQ).
Telegram verifies some official channels, groups and bots, and shows a badge on verified chats. Its verification page adds that verification "doesn't give any additional abilities", and that "A link to Telegram on your official site or other official accounts elsewhere can achieve a similar result". Only Telegram can assign the official checkmark; third-party verifiers use other icons (Telegram verification).
So, to avoid a fake bot:
On a phone, SwapBee works in two ways: the web app at swapbee.com in your browser, and the Telegram bot @swapbeebot. Our Telegram post sums it up as "No App. No Wallet Connection. Just Swap." Pages on swapbee.com have a "Telegram Bot" link in the header. The post says the bot uses the same routing engine as swapbee.com.
As of 26 October 2026, SwapBee compares quotes from 22 providers and lists 9,152 coin/network entries across 51 blockchains. There is no account and no wallet connection: you send your coins to a deposit address. You set a receiving address; most providers also ask for a refund address. After you confirm, you get a Swap ID to track the swap. SwapBee doesn't charge a separate fee, but it does earn from your swap. On swaps through exchange services, the provider shares part of its fee with SwapBee. On on-chain DEX swaps, SwapBee adds a small markup to the quote. Both are already in the quote you see; nothing is added on top (see our terms). Your wallet also charges its usual network fee to send the deposit. There are no accounts, balances or pooled wallets: most swaps send your deposit straight to the provider, and on-chain DEX swaps use a one-time swap address SwapBee operates, which executes the swap and sends the output to your wallet automatically. Before you confirm, each quote's provider policy shows who holds your deposit. SwapBee is part of the BlockBee ecosystem. The provider may ask for identity or other checks under its own rules. See our AML policy.
What the bot adds on a phone: the post says it has two shortcut buttons, one for the quote that pays out most and one for the quickest (the website offers "Pick best" and, when another quote pays out more, a second button for that quote). It shows a copyable deposit address and a QR code, and /track shows the status. The full walkthrough is in our Telegram bot post.

It depends on your chains. Jupiter Mobile stays on Solana. Uniswap Wallet's page says 20+ networks, and 1inch Wallet's page says 18+ chains (its FAQ names 18). To swap between chains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum without connecting a wallet, a deposit-address site or bot is another option.
Yes. Uniswap Wallet is offered for iOS and Android, as well as a Chrome extension.
Yes. Jupiter's docs say it "operates exclusively on Solana" and supports all Solana tokens.
Its FAQ says yes: "1inch Wallet supports cross-chain swaps across any supported networks."
No app to install. You use swapbee.com in your phone's browser, or @swapbeebot in Telegram.
Open it from the service's official website or a link on it, check the username letter by letter, and treat any bot that asks for a recovery phrase as a fake.
